Pawlenty talks about $4.6B coming to Minnesota

Governor Tim Pawlenty was on Greta last night discussing how the Federal stimulus money breaks down in Minnesota.

  • $1.8B Medicaid
  • $800M Schools
  • $550M Roads and bridges
  • Rest spent on misc. categories

The Governor goes on to state that Minnesota pays $1 to the Federal government for every $0.72 we receive back.  This stat places Minnesota with the 5th worst ratio of dollars paid to dollars received.

The Governor goes on to talk about States Rights and micromanagement from Washington.  If only the Governor gave more than lip service to States rights and sent the $4.6B back to Washington with a note stating that Minnesota wants no part in their ponzi scheme.
