Paul Kohls’ Response on HF953 : Looking out for 2A

I received this email from Rep. Kohls today.  Those in Carver County should be proud.

A big thank you for taking the time to contact me regarding your concerns with and opposition to Rep. Paymar’s HF 953.  As you know, this bill is an attempt to chip away at our 2nd Amendment Rights.

The committee hearing where this bill was to be considered was canceled, and I’m convinced it was because of the outpouring of opposition to the bill.  As a strong supporter of the 2nd Amendment, a NRA member myself, and a legislator with an “A” rating from the NRA, I am with you on this issue.

As you know, despite this initial victory there is a need to be ever vigilant in order to continue to protect our rights.  I would not be surprised if Rep. Paymar or his allies in the legislature try to bring this bill back as an amendment to another bill or bring forward other bills that would erode our 2nd Amendment rights.  Please know that I will continue to keep on top of these issues throughout the legislative session.

Again, thanks for taking the time to contact me.  I sincerely appreciate it.  I hope you will consider clicking the link below and signing up for my occasional legislative email updates.

Warmest regards,

Paul
