HF953 “Transfer of Pistols” gained yet another author in the house today.
If any of these Reps are representing you, I suggest you give them a polite call to ask them what they are thinking.

Of course last week at the Bloomington Town Hearing I had an interesting conversation with one co-author (Rep. Rosenthal 41B) on the bill.
Me: “Rep. Rosenthal, good to finally meet you. I’ve left several messages and emails regarding House File 953 with your office. I’d love a chance to discuss this bill with you.”
PR: “Yes, definitely. Did you get a time scheduled.”
Me: “No, not yet. Your assistant said she would bring the messages to your attention.”
PR: “Oh, I haven’t seen them yet. What was this regarding?”
Me: “HF953 Paymar’s bill regarding transfer of pistols. I believe you are a co-author of it.”
PR: Startled look “I’m not familiar with that one. If I am a co-author, I shouldn’t be.”
If what he says is true, I wonder what it really means to have your name on a bill as a co-author.
